Over a decade selling print-on-demand products, our founder hit the same wall again and again — more than twenty intellectual property disputes, a lawsuit brought by a major music rights holder, and an online storefront frozen with thousands of dollars locked inside it.
None of it came from bad intent. It happened because there was no legal, affordable way for an independent seller to license the IP that customers actually wanted. The system to do things the right way simply did not exist.
So we decided to build it. Licenshelf turns years of painful, expensive lessons into the platform we wish we'd had from day one — one where licensing is legal, instant, and within reach of every creator.
